Rhyming poems are poems that rhyme to convey a certain message. Sometimes poets use rhyme as a tool to show the humor in the message they are trying to convey. Traditional poems are written in rhyme to help add a musical element to the reading. A rhyming poem brings out the joy that can be had in appreciating the music in words. Rhyming poems all follow a definite rhyme scheme.
There was once a boy
Who dreamt of a toy--
Which could play with him as he would.
On Christmas Eve,
Presents all under the tree,
As the eager boy waits to see
What his present turns out to be!
Not knowing that his wish
Would turn out to be a delightful fish!
